Universidad Nacional: Una nueva mirada en la mediación pedagógica al 92 continúa, el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje será mecánico, memorístico, basado en el hecho de estudiar para aprobar el curso lectivo. Para obtener aprendizajes significativos por medio de la calidez que recibe un estudiante en el salón de clase, es importante considerar varios factores que influyen en el éxito académico, y que van a incidir de manera directa o indirecta en lo concerniente al logro de los objetivos propuestos. Estos factores son: cognitivos, afectivos, sociales y estrategias empleadas. Ante un sistema educativo que ha evolucionado, los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje necesitan transformarse para cumplir con las expectativas del nuevo siglo, por lo tanto, se debe progresar conforme a las exigencias de la sociedad. SUMMARY In recent years, changes have been experienced in Costa Rican education where a key actor in the transformation of these realities is the pedagogical mediator, as he is immersed in a new reality caused by the motivations and discipline of the students. New factors have emerged that must be taken into account in our classrooms, for example, the diversity and heterogeneity of learners, many of them with social, emotional and even inclusion problems. This has come to generate a new perspective on the part of the system at all levels, causing new approaches in teaching action. The human being shows a desire to learn if he finds meaning or what is taught and tends to reject everything that does not make sense to him or her. Achieving significant learning in the classroom is to achieve meaningful learning, otherwise we will not have positive results in this regard, if this continues, the teaching and learning process will be mechanical, memorial, based on the fact of studying to pass the course. To obtain meaningful learning through the warmth that a student can receive in the classroom it is important to consider several factors that influence academic success and that will directly or indirectly influence the achievement of the proposed objectives. These factors are cognitive, affective, social and strategies employed. In the face of an educational system that has evolved, the teaching and learning processes need to be transformed to meet the expectations of the new century, therefore, progress must be made according to the demands of society. La educación ha sido la base fundamental del desarrollo de cada una de las personas, tal y como lo afirma Paulo Freire, en su célebre frase: “La educación no cambia al mundo: Cambia a las personas que van a cambiar al mundo”. Esta enunciación, invita a meditar y a reflexionar como profesionales en educación, la gran responsabilidad que se tiene en las manos; esto implica, tomar en cuenta a éstos, cubriendo primordialmente sus necesidades e intereses, fomentando en ellos y ellas la criticidad y autonomía, haciendo que crean aprendizajes significativos mediante la mediación pedagógica constructivista y la calidez que los profesores como agentes de cambios pueden provocar, permitiendo además, que los y las discentes sean autoras de su propio conocimiento.
